At DC SCORES, we believe that we achieve more when we work together.

From our corporate partners to our coaches and volunteers, we collaborate with stakeholders across the District to support the communities we serve.

Volunteer

From refereeing kids’ game days to providing pro-bono photoshoots of our work, volunteers are the core of our team, helping us serve more than 3,500 poet-athletes at 68 schools across Washington, D.C. Check out our site map of the schools where we work below!

DC SCORES embraces diversity and welcomes volunteers of all backgrounds to support our community of poet-athletes. Learn more about our open opportunities below or sign up now to get started!

Current Volunteer Opportunities

Referee

Support our Thursday elementary school game days as a referee. Full training is provided, so no prior experience is required; however, a basic knowledge of soccer is a plus! Game days take place weekly on Thursdays from 4-6 p.m. during our fall (September-November) and spring (March-May) seasons.

Sign up using our referee volunteer interest form.

Events

Event volunteers support our major events by setting up and breaking down event infrastructure, staffing activities and activations, and greeting families and supporters.

Photography/Videography

Skilled with a camera? Support our programs and events with pro bono photography and videography. Opportunities exist throughout the school year and summer.
