DESCRIPTION:Join DC SCORES poet-athletes on November 22 at Westside poetry slam!  \n\n\n\nThousands of young people from our elementary school programs west of the Anacostia River will take the stage as they perform original spoken word poetry in a competition judged by some of the top poets in the DMV.  \n\n\n\nDC SCORES slams are the biggest youth poetry events in the DMV\, with more than 3\,500 young people performing over three slams. For more information about our program\, visit our What We Do page.  \n\n\n\nThis event is free to families and school community members with registration. Details for registering for the event will be shared with DC SCORES coaches. \n\n\n\nParents and families\, please contact your school’s coach for information about bus pick-up and drop-off for the event.
